Hello everyone! Welcome to my first blog post.
Young age as I am , I have developed the liking in cooking. Through my mom, I am taught by her to cook different kinds of recipe. With that, I have learned to love cooking and have experimented on different menus and delicacies.
Getting on.
One of the recipes that I find easy and fast to cook is a famous Filipino delicacy and it is Binagoongang Baboy. Let me share to you through images the steps on how to prepare this delicious meal.
PROCEDURE IN COOKING
- In a pan over medium heat, heat about 2 tablespoons of the oil. Add eggplant and fry until lightly browned, turning on sides as needed. Remove from heat and drain on paper towels.
- In the pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil. Add pork cubes and cook until lightly browned. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels.
- Add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil to the pan. Add onions and garlic and cook until fragrant. Add shrimp paste and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 3 to 5 minutes or until color darkens. Add tomatoes and cook, mashing with the back of the spoon, until softened. Add browned pork cubes.
- Add vinegar and allow to a gentle boil, uncovered and without stirring, for about 3 to 5 minutes. Add water, sugar, and chili peppers. Lower heat, cover, and simmer until reduced and pork is fork-tender, adding more water in ½ cup increments if needed. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot with fried eggplant and steamed rice.
